We took the bus back from Delphi to Athens where we checked into a resort fairly close to the airport for the night in preparation for tomorrow's flight to Italy, where we will begin the second leg of our trip. I am officially convinced there is not a balcony with a bad view in Greece. Our room overlooks the infinity pool, bungalows, tennis courts, and Aegean Sea. Even on our "day off" we find ourselves continuing to make up problems for our math challenge, including finding the volume of the oddly-shaped pool, figuring out water displacement if it was filled to capacity, analyzing tessellations
from the beautifully designed tile floor, and converting speed from kilometers per hour to miles per hour to figure out how fast our crazy taxi driver was going! Math truly is everywhere, including on the door to our hotel room (pretty perfect for two math teachers!)
