About
I am currently teaching Algebra II at Orville H. Platt High School in Meriden, CT. I am the girls tennis coach and an advisor for the mathletes team. I graducated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education and a M.S. in Educational Technology. In my free time I enjoy golfing, cycling, and spending time outdoors.

I did my student teaching at Platt in 2013 and have been teaching there ever since. Throughout my time at PHS, Pam has been my classroom neighbor, friend, colleague, and mentor. Before the start of the 2017-2018 school year, we had talked about this crazy idea to travel to Greece and Italy to learn about the history of mathematics. Over the past few years, we have collaborated with our colleagues in the math department to establish historical math challenge field trips in Boston, New York City, and Meriden. We thought, how cool would it be to expand our knowledge of the history of mathematics and create a virtual math challenge of Greece and Italy for our students? We decided to apply for a Fund For Teachers grant in hopes of making this dream a reality.

We began our application and research in the Fall of 2017. In January of 2018, we were ready to submit our proposal. In April we found out we had been awarded the grant and would be traveling to Europe in the summer.
